Clone yourself you are going to need 2 things:

Open google to download the split effect click HERE
Restart movie maker and in Transitions you will have new ones that all start with the word SPLIT: import you clip and in the timeline, overlap them and you will se a blue line, overlap as far as it can go BEFORE it disappears, the between the 2 clips in will say fade, now got to Transitions and one called SPLIT: Vertical drag it to were it says fade on the timeline, and it will clone the picute.
TIP:
Make sure when you record that the camera does NOT move otherwise the picture will not be right.
When you follow all these seteps you will get this effect:

How to Make a Laser Effect In Windows Movie Maker
You Will have to download 2 FREE Virus FREE programs:
1- Gimp 2.0, you can download this by clicking HERE
2- You will need to download the file with all the Lasers, Mussle flashes, sounds... ect. You can download it by clicking HERE Then just click DOWNLOAD.
Ok.
Now That you have downloaded it, record a video of you, shooting a gun, sticking your arm out so it looks like it comes out of you hand... Then import it into Windows Movie Maker.
Go Frame By Frame until you get to the point were you want to fire the laser. Split the clip and take a snapshot of the frame were you fire the laser.
Now, open Gimp 2.0.
Click file and open the picture you just took of the frame, the go to file again and click,
Open Layers , The go to the file with all the lasers and stuff on it, open the coloured laser you want and play with it a bit, make it bigger, smaller, longer... when you have it how you want it, put in on your hand or gun... and save, make the quality 100% ( you can do this when you save )
Now if you overwrite the picture when you save, you will not have to import a picture, it will already be there, if not, click impor picture.
Now on Windows Movie Maker, go to the sotryboard and put the pictured between were you split the clip.
And go to effects, then go to SPEED UP x2 and keep draging it on to the picture until its as quick as possible.
When you have done that, your clip will be you fireing lasers, but with no sound, so click
import audio or music , Go to the file with all the lasers in, there will be a folder called sounds.
Choose one , the import it, then make it 0.50 seconds long and, still on the STORYBOARD drag it on.
Watch your video and you will be shooting lasers with sound.
